The Opportunity

As a Parts Manager you’ll be responsible for overseaing the Parts department. You will also be working closely with the aftersales team in the dealership to understand what parts are required for the work that is coming into the dealership. It’s important you understand stock management and build up a good working relationship with the external parts supplier.

Your role as a Parts Manager will be to ensure that all parts orders are efficiently and accurately processed and that all stock purchase records are correctly maintained. You will also ensure that all company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times.

You will ensure that all customers at retail and workshop areas are dealt with quickly and efficiently and that all orders are processed on the same day. You will be required to complete all administrative functions in an accurate and timely manner and log any discrepancies of stock with the Aftersales Manager.

  • We’re looking for you to have done a similar supervisor role in a dealership environment. You should have a good understanding of parts ordering and be able to prioritise your workload efficiently.

  • You should be proactive and a team player. 

  • Communication is important in this role.

  • People management experience.

Founded in 2003 by Michael Smyth and his three sons, David, Peter and John, Swansway has grown from five motor dealerships in Cheshire and the West Midlands to the 20 dealerships we have today. From Birmingham in the South to Carlisle in the North we partner with eleven brands including; Audi, Volkswagen, Land Rover, Honda and many more.

We’re expanding our own-brand, Motor Match our used sites, and we don’t stop at dealerships; we operate four Volkswagen Group Trade Part Centres, an Accident Repair Centre, a Group Fleet Sales Centre and an eBay shop re-cycling obsolete parts. All this is supported by our Head Office in Crewe.
