Regional Digital Merchandiser

The opportunity

Reporting into our head office marketing team, Regional Merchandisers for Swansway will support the marketing of our vehicles across our dealerships when our Digital Merchandiser team are on annual leave or stock volumes increase.

You will work closely with the local Sales Managers and Head Office Marketing to promote vehicles digitally and to help the dealerships achieve their sales targets.

The role is hands on and you'll be active around a number of our dealerships that you will support.

More about the role

• Predominantly covering our Cheshire and Stoke-on-Trent locations, you'll move between the sites regularly, merchandising vehicles and ensuring a quick turnaround from stock arriving to being advertised on the website

• Stock to be photographed and walk around videos created and optimised

• Online sales descriptions to be written with "attention grabbers"

• Sharing of operational best practise across the regional teams

More about you

• You must hold a full UK driving licence and be confident moving vehicles around the dealership

• You must be a great communicator, both written and verbally.

• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills. 

• A willingness to learn.

• Full training will be given.

• A passion for and basic knowledge of cars would be beneficial

Founded in 2003 by Michael Smyth and his three sons, David, Peter and John, Swansway has grown from five motor dealerships in Cheshire and the West Midlands to the 20 dealerships we have today. From Birmingham in the South to Carlisle in the North we partner with eleven brands including; Audi, Volkswagen, Land Rover, Honda and many more.

We’re expanding our own-brand, Motor Match our used sites, and we don’t stop at dealerships; we operate four Volkswagen Group Trade Part Centres, an Accident Repair Centre, a Group Fleet Sales Centre and an eBay shop re-cycling obsolete parts. All this is supported by our Head Office in Crewe.

But, it’s not what we do that makes us the company we are, it’s how we do it; it’s our family heritage that sets us apart, with the Smyth family playing a hands-on role in the day-to-day running of the business; we genuinely care about our customers and our Swansway family and that makes us a great place to work.
