The opportunity

£25,000 + bonus

As a Regional Merchandiser at Swansway Motor Group, you will be required to provide merchandising support and cover to all of our dealerships, with your main focus area being our dealerships across Greater Manchester and Lancashire. You’ll play a pivotal role in promoting our vehicle range and driving customer engagement through photos and video.

Reporting into our Digital Merchandising Manager, you will support the on-site Digital Merchandising team with the marketing of our vehicles at our dealerships when the team are on annual leave, or stock volumes increase, or as and when required.

You will work closely with Sales Managers and the Digital Merchandising Manager to plan out your working week, and promote our vehicles online to help drive enquiries into the dealerships.

The role is a hands on and active role and is ideal for someone looking to get a varied working week with travel required each day to different locations working with different brands.

More about the role

• Supporting different dealerships and brands, you’ll move between the sites regularly with a company car and fuel card provided

• Taking photographs and video content for all stock, including full online optimisation 

• Online sales descriptions to be written with "attention grabbers"

• Sharing of operational best practise across the merchandising team and providing support as and when needed

More about you

• A passion for and basic knowledge of cars would be beneficial.

• You must be a great communicator, written and verbally.

• Excellent attention to detail and time management skills. 

• A willingness to learn.

• Full training will be given.

• You must hold a full UK driving licence and be confident moving vehicles around the dealership.

Founded in 2003 by Michael Smyth and his three sons, David, Peter and John, Swansway has grown from five motor dealerships in Cheshire and the West Midlands to the 20 dealerships we have today. From Birmingham in the South to Carlisle in the North we partner with eleven brands including; Audi, Volkswagen, Land Rover, Honda and many more.

We’re expanding our own-brand, Motor Match our used sites, and we don’t stop at dealerships; we operate four Volkswagen Group Trade Part Centres, an Accident Repair Centre, a Group Fleet Sales Centre and an eBay shop re-cycling obsolete parts. All this is supported by our Head Office in Crewe.

But, it’s not what we do that makes us the company we are, it’s how we do it; it’s our family heritage that sets us apart, with the Smyth family playing a hands-on role in the day-to-day running of the business; we genuinely care about our customers and our Swansway family and that makes us a great place to work.
